IFS (Internal Family Systems) Practitioner
Do you have a yearning for a deep, authentic, more flourishing life?
I bet you know that having a compassionate witness to accompany you on your journey will help you, as you develop goals, envision magic and miracles and hold yourself accountable with love.
Or maybe there’s some suffering mixed in with the yearning. Some stuck places that haven’t healed.
Or challenging life circumstances that have rocked you to your core.
If so, no matter the form of suffering, I’ve lived a good part of my life in this neighborhood. Depressed. Anxious. Suffering from childhood trauma, divorce, cancer. Loss of loved ones. Using isolation, food and alcohol to cope. Stuck in stubborn polarities and patterns.
And I have come out the other side with IFS.
Over my life, every time I discovered something that helped me in my process, I wanted to share it.
I trained in Counseling Psychology in graduate school and was Certified in Psychosynthesis. I learned about trauma and systems along with many other techniques that can promote well-being and healing. I worked for years in the field and was glad to help many.
When my long marriage was in trouble and dissolving, I studied mediation and non-violent conflict resolution. I shared this with other divorcing couples helping them develop parenting plans for their precious children. I brought my mediation skills to the community as well, in the court system and in work and neighbor disputes.
When I got divorced, I retrained as a Transformational Life Coach and moved to California. I felt more empowered and joyful. I could now work and partner with people all over the country by phone. I combined this work with training in Spiritual Direction according to the Quaker tradition, because I began to know in my bones how important deep listening is in a healing relationship. I also experienced the multitudinous ways that the “Inner Light” or soul speaks to us: in whispers, dreams, flashes of insight, in nature, through synchronicities.
When I got cancer, I learned about how trauma is stored in the body. I worked with an IFS (Internal Family Systems) Practitioner for 3 years and learned how developing “Self”, IFS’s name for the inner spiritual core strength of unconditional love towards all parts of me, was necessary to heal.
Since then, I have immersed myself in training in IFS, becoming more and more “Self-led”, and now offer this amazing healing modality to others. It encompasses all the training I have had over the years: Psychosynthesis Therapy, Mediation, Spiritual Direction, and Transformational Life Coaching into a seamless and beautiful model that is the most life-changing and effective modality I have ever known.
I am happier, stronger, and healthier than I have ever been. I want that for you too.

IFS is based on the idea that all of us have different parts of ourselves. A part of me may find crafting this website fun, while another part wants to get it right! While there are no bad parts, and all parts have positive intentions, some "burdened" parts behave in extreme ways. The goal of IFS parts work is to heal these burdens of outmoded beliefs, extreme emotions and traumatic experiences and to begin having all parts play more harmoniously together under the compassionate direction of our loving authentic Inner Self.
